NEW processes in a changing world

With the new world order we now have, we have adjusted conditions at the surgery to minimise risk of COVID 19 & similar viral transfer. By implementing these we intend to remain open, because not all we do in general practice is viral disease!

1) To gain access you MUST have an appointment pre-arranged - if not you will be returned to your car or home to arrange one. SEVERE illness (unless infective) or injury, and those collecting prescriptions, will be exempt, however the access door is opened only by the nurse on duty there. NO WALK-INS allowed. The receptionists will ask the general reason for consultation so please be frank with them - all information is confidential & this allows an appropriate triaging of available times .

2) Before entry to the surgery please use the foyer bathrooms to wash & dry hands thoroughly or use the sanitiser statiioned on wall.

3) We ask that ONLY the person with appointment attend - unless you wish to have an accompanying advocate - please do not bring all the family so that numbers in reception can be minimised.

4) DO NOT attend early for your appointment in the hope you may be seen early - you will be denied entry until 5 minutes prior; it is our intention to maintain the fixed appointment schedule, so do not bring a list of things to discuss - the appointment may be terminated by the doctor if so - feel free to make a double appt when booking but know that this will be at a double fee.
